I have been a professional singer for the last 20 years. People from all over that come into town and have heard me sing say some very nice things....that I should be on American Idol...=) but yes, I'm past the age limit. People compare my ability to pop stars. I'm not sure exactly why I'm contacting you, but I got your email about your show and it caught my attention. I have an interesting situation I think. Maybe you would want to do a piece for upcoming performers out there that is isn't always glamorous...how I have a lot of talent with no formal training really and I bust my butt loading in my own equipment and making peanuts sometimes just to work up to 5 nights a week, even at my age. Its tough, and I'm an only parent of a 4 1/2 year old girl and I developed some serious symptoms/health problems right after I gave birth to my child which has added major challenges to an already physically demanding job. I used to be a pretty major athlete and at 38 I have to use a wheel chair when going to the grocery store or theme parks...no one would know it, I look pretty healthy and I look like I work out...but I can't.

Anyway, I just felt led to write you. Don't know if you'd want to do a piece on what its really like to be a 'working' singer/musician...or something on odd health conditions, apparently my condition was on medical mysteries. Or maybe even a show on single moms.
